Sonic Into The Void

Introduction: Sonic: Into The Void is a complete overhaul of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive by Blueblur93. It replaces much of Sonic 1's presentation with new artwork, HUD elements, stage changes, music, sounds, palettes, and abilities.

Gameplay & Mechanics: Sonic is the central playable character. The hack expands the Sonic 1 moveset with a Jump Dash, Homing Attack, and Spin Dash, giving the player far more aerial and acceleration control than in the 1991 original. New and reworked stages are designed around these additions.

Key Features:

• A major Sonic 1 overhaul with new artwork, HUD, music, sounds, sprites, and act-specific palettes.
• Additional moves including the Jump Dash, Homing Attack, and Spin Dash.
• New and heavily reworked zones and bosses rather than a Sonic 3 & Knuckles campaign.

Into The Void is based on Sonic 1 and should not be described using Sonic 3 & Knuckles elemental-shield mechanics as its core identity.
