The hack overhauls the entire game, featuring all original zones like Emerald Hill and Chemical Plant, but with completely redesigned level layouts and a new, cohesive visual style using custom palettes and modified tiles.
Gameplay & Mechanics: You control Sonic and Tails, with the core physics of the original Sonic 2 engine preserved for authentic momentum and slope handling. The primary change is the level design; every act is rebuilt to be more expansive, challenging, and exploration focused, often featuring multiple new pathways and more complex platforming sequences. The Spin Dash and Tails's flight operate as in the base game. The hack is designed to feel like a more demanding and intricate version of the original experience.
