Sega Game Gear Sonic Games

The Sega Game Gear became an important home for Sonic throughout the 1990s. Many games shared ideas with Sega Master System releases, but the handheld also received several Sonic titles of its own.

The Game Gear library includes traditional platformers such as Sonic Chaos and Sonic Triple Trouble, alongside experimental spin-offs such as Sonic Drift, Sonic Labyrinth and Tails Adventure. Together they show how Sega adapted the Sonic series for portable 8-bit hardware.
