Introduction: "Sonic Winter Adventures" is a ROM hack of the 1994 Sega Genesis game "Sonic the Hedgehog 3". It transforms the core experience into a winter holiday themed adventure, replacing the original zones with new, snowy level layouts and applying extensive graphical changes, including custom snow-covered tilesets and palettes to create a cohesive frosty aesthetic.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack retains the original "Sonic 3" physics engine, offering the same momentum based platforming and precise slope detection. You can play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles, each with their classic abilities: Sonic's Insta Shield and elemental shields, Tails' flight, and Knuckles' climbing and gliding. The core mechanics, such as the spin dash and the ability to save progress, are unchanged, ensuring the familiar, fluid feel of the official game.
