About This Game
Introduction: "Sonic Jam 6" is a fan made ROM hack of the 1994 Sega Genesis game "Sonic 3 & Knuckles". It is not an official release. The hack presents a compilation of six original zones, such as Neo Green Hill and Chrome Gadget, which feature completely new level layouts built from existing Sonic 3 & Knuckles tiles and objects. The visual style uses the original game's sprites and color palettes, rearranged to create fresh environments.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The game is built on the Sonic 3 & Knuckles engine, so it retains that title's precise, momentum based physics and slope detection. You can play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles, each with their canonical abilities from the base game: Sonic has the Insta Shield and can perform a Super Peel Out, Tails can fly and swim, and Knuckles can glide and climb walls. The elemental shields from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, like the Flame and Bubble Shields, are present and functional. Characters can transform into their Super forms after collecting the Chaos Emeralds.
