Sonic Dr Iks

Introduction: Sonic Dr IKS is a fan-made ROM hack of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. It is known for replacing the familiar Sonic 1 presentation with new stage layouts, unusual palette choices, and a much denser enemy presence.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The hack retains the core Sonic 1 movement model while changing the stages around it. New layouts and increased enemy numbers make the game more chaotic and difficult than the original, with the visual palette changes giving the stages an intentionally unusual appearance.
