About This Game
Introduction: "Super Sonic Click" is not a ROM hack, official title, or traditional bootleg, but a fan-made Flash game from the mid-2000s. It is a simple, browser-based platformer where the player clicks to make Sonic jump. The setting is a single, short stage with basic, custom-drawn backgrounds and sprites that are crude approximations of Sonic's classic look, lacking the detail of the Genesis originals.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The player controls Sonic automatically running to the right. Interaction is limited to a single mouse click to perform a jump; holding the click does not affect jump height. The physics are extremely basic and non-momentum-based, with fixed jump arcs and instant stopping. There are no other playable characters, no abilities like the Spin Dash or shields, and no traditional enemy patterns or rings to collect. The challenge comes from timing clicks to avoid pits and simple obstacles.
Key Features:
- Extremely simplified, one-button control scheme built for web browsers.
- Custom, low-fidelity visual and sound assets created specifically for Flash.
- A very short, singular experience more akin to a mini-game or proof-of-concept than a full platforming title.
