Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Time Attack

Introduction: Sonic 2 Time Attack is a ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 by redhotsonic designed specifically around replaying stages for faster completion times. It uses the familiar Sonic 2 zones but adds systems for tracking, reviewing, and improving personal records.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The objective is to complete each selected zone or act as quickly as possible. When a run beats the existing record, the new time is stored. The hack includes a scoreboard for reviewing records and can save replays of runs, turning Sonic 2 into a dedicated time-trial package rather than simply removing normal stage content.
