Tails In Sonic The Hedgehog

Introduction: Tails in Sonic the Hedgehog, commonly called Tails in Sonic 1, is a ROM hack of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive by drx and Puto. It replaces Sonic with Miles "Tails" Prower and adapts Tails' later Genesis-era abilities to the Sonic 1 engine.

Gameplay & Mechanics: Tails can fly, Spin Dash, and swim in a manner modeled after his Sonic 3 behavior. These abilities substantially change how the original Sonic 1 stages can be explored, allowing Tails to reach routes and heights that Sonic could not access normally.

Key Features:

• Tails replaces Sonic as the playable character throughout Sonic 1.
• Flight, swimming, and Spin Dash mechanics are implemented for Tails.
• Multiple revisions improved flight behavior, sprites, palettes, and bug fixes.

The level themes remain based on Sonic 1, but Tails' expanded movement makes the campaign play very differently from the original.
