About Sonic Boy 3 Eggmans Room
Introduction: Sonic-Boy 3: Eggman's Room is an unofficial Sega Master System hack of Teddy Boy, not a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog. ROM archives commonly identify it as a Teddy Boy hack, with Sonic-themed branding applied to a completely different Sega game.
Gameplay & Mechanics: The underlying gameplay comes from Teddy Boy. The player moves through maze-like stages while shooting enemies. Defeated enemies shrink into collectible forms that must be picked up before they transform into time-eating hazards. The objective is to eliminate and collect all enemies before the timer becomes a problem.
Key Features:
- Built from the Sega Master System version of Teddy Boy.
- Maze-based shooting and platforming rather than Sonic-style high-speed movement.
- Enemy-clearing objectives controlled by a time limit.
Despite the Sonic-Boy title and Eggman branding, the game mechanics come from Teddy Boy and do not use the Sonic 1 engine.
