Sonic 1 Megamix

Introduction: Sonic 1 Megamix is a major ROM hack of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. Developed by Team Megamix, it greatly expands the base game with redesigned stages, new music, new graphics, additional moves, elemental shields, Super forms, and multiple playable characters.

Gameplay & Mechanics: The well-known Genesis 3.0 release centers on Sonic, Shadow, and Mighty, with each character using a distinct moveset. Sonic and Shadow have character-specific aerial abilities, while Mighty is designed around different movement and shield interactions. The hack also adds the Spin Dash, elemental shields, Super forms, and many engine improvements beyond the original Sonic 1.
